Museum of Brisbane located on top of the refurbished City Hall in the heart of the CBD is a unique cultural institution and visitor destination. The Museum harnesses the power of local stories through high quality exhibitions and public programs, and works closely with the city’s artists and creative practitioners to interpret the history and contemporary life of the City. The Museum has a significant role to play in building the social fabric of the City into the future and contributing to its economic life through building a vibrant visitor destination and brand.

The Board of the Museum chaired by Sallyanne Atkinson AO is seeking an experienced cultural leader with demonstrated experience of contemporary museum and gallery practice, demonstrated leadership and management capabilities and experience in growing audiences and building a resilient business model for a contemporary cultural institution.
