A rare and exciting arts leadership opportunity

UPLIT – formerly Brisbane Writers Festival – is one of Australia’s leading literary organisations and present a suite of annual events, including our highly regarded flagship Brisbane Writers Festival, as well as Word Play and Inspire Festival. We have a core audience of 40,000 people across Queensland, are currently funded from federal, state and local governments alongside financial and in kind support from our partners.

Role Description
We are seeking a CEO to build an exciting, engaging program reflecting UPLIT’s strategic directions and recent corporate rebrand. The successful candidate will provide commercial and creative leadership for the organisation, effective direction for our staff and volunteer team, and strong advocacy.

Candidates should have experience in arts/not-for-profit sector; demonstrated strategic, commercial and leadership skills; a track record in partnership and relationship building; and a history of delivering complex projects.
