QUEENSLAND HEALTH

TRANSITION STRATEGY FOR NGOs

As subconsultants to BoardConnect, Positive Solutions assisted with the design and delivery of a transition strategy to assist 20 Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) following recent health reforms and associated changes in funding and contracting arrangements. The planning and delivery/ support phases of this significant project called for an understanding of the health reform context within which the project is occurring, and a well-orchestrated suite of competencies, including financial, HR, legal, governance, business development, fundraising and financing, amongst others.

Due to the success of initial phase of the project (2014-2015), funding has been extended until the end of 2017. Transition Plans developed by the organisations will be revisited, and consultants will continue working with the NGOs to implement those plans, and support them through the provision of training. Workshop topics are planned to include:
