BoardConnect is an initiative of Positive Solutions, co-funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
The first ongoing governance support service available to the arts sector, BoardConnect assists board members and managers of Queensland’s arts and cultural organisations. Advice and information to encourage best practice in governance is provided via a confidential help-line, regular events, tailored services, and online resources.
Launched by Mr James Strong, Chair of the Australia Council, in August 2008, BoardConnect’s pilot period ‘connected’ with over 85% of Queensland’s arts organisations statewide. Premier and Arts Minister Anna Bligh announced a further two years’ funding support from August 2009.
